LTO Clarifies that e-bikes need registration too

You're not allowed to operate an e-bike if you don't have drivers license. presumption is you don't know because you have no training, and registration is mandatory requirement for insurance. said Francis Almora, Director of LTO's Law enforcement service.

Almora said E-Bikes are covered by the Land Transportation Code.

The LTO has come up with the clarification after seeing marketing materials claiming that you don’t need to register e-bikes.
